P 2656 Student Cell Phone Usage

Developments in cell phone technology in recent years have resulted in enhanced communication opportunities.  However, the use of cell phones in schools poses increasing risks of school disruptions, bullying, criminal activity, and academic dishonesty.  Students may use phones, personal laptops, and other electronic devices under the supervision of a school instructor and for school related assignments and business.  Use of such devices for reasons other than school related business will result in confiscation of the device and other specified punishment.  Use of electronic devices is at the discretion of the school instructor.  School is not responsible for the theft or loss of electronic devices. Consequences will be listed in student handbooks.
