A designated period of time may be provided for public comments at all regular Board Meetings The Board is very interested in citizen viewpoint and problems; however, citizens are encouraged to work through problems at the building and/or administrative levels before coming to the Board.
The following rules will be applied to the public comment portion of the meeting:

Remarks may be limited to three minutes, unless an extension is granted by the Board President, and to one appearance for each individual, thus allowing a maximum number of participants in the allotted time period, not to exceed 15 minutes in total.

The Board President will advise the "public" as to the guidelines to be following during this allotted time.

Only items from the posted agenda may be discussed.

A person wishing to have an item placed on the agenda will present the request to the superintendent or his/her designee.

Request must be submitted in writing and received five (5) business days prior to the scheduled meeting.

The item will then be appropriately placed on the agenda.

The Board may impose reasonable restrictions on the number of items to be presented and the number of individuals and speaking time before appearing before the Board.

The Board President will have the authority to discontinue any presentations that is in violation of the above listed guidelines.

The Board reserves the right to reschedule the agenda item to a future regular meeting, if the agenda is full.

Questions/particular issues directed to the Board may not always be answered immediately or a decision handed down during that particular meeting. All questions will be responded to by an appropriate person as soon as possible.

The Board reserves the right to waive formalities in emergency situations and within the guidelines of state statutes.
All other written correspondence may be directed to the Board, through the superintendent, for consideration at a regular/special meeting.
