The Board is very interested in citizen viewpoints and problems; however, citizens are encouraged to work through problems at the building and/or administrative levels before coming to the Board. Citizens who wish to suggest items for the agenda should fill out a ‘Request to be on Board of Education Agenda’ form.
Parents/Guardians may request to be placed on the agenda concerning issues with their child. The Parent/Guardian will fill out a ‘Request to be on Board of Education Meeting Agenda’ form. Once completed, the form will be presented to the President of the Board who will have the final decision concerning placing the item on the agenda, unless a majority of the Board votes to place the item on the agenda. In no case will an item be placed on the agenda until there has been an opportunity to resolve the issue at the building and district level i.e. teacher, principal and superintendent.
All forms must be submitted to the superintendent’s office no later than 5 days before the regular monthly meeting to be included on that month’s agenda.
