The Board of Education recognizes that the use of tobacco represents a health and safety hazard. Therefore, the use of tobacco products shall be prohibited in all District buildings, grounds, and vehicles. This Policy applies to all employees, students and patrons attending school-sponsored activities and meetings. Except for adults 18 years or older, then smoking or tobacco use is allowed only in designated areas. This includes outdoor events. This also includes the use of electronic cigarettes.
