Code of Conduct
The District will endeavor to conduct all procurement procedures:
- In compliance with state and federal regulations.
- To prohibit conflicts of interest and self-dealing actions of employees engaged in the selection, award, and administration of contracts.
District employees and Board members will not participate in the selection, award, or administration of a contract supported by a federal, state, or local award, except as otherwise provided in Board Policy, if the individual has a real or apparent conflict of interest. Regulation 5520 incorporates the provision of Policy 0342 as well as Policy and Regulation 4840 Conflict of Interest.
District staff or agents who violate the District’s Conflict of Interest/Code of Conduct will incur disciplinary action. The disciplinary action in a specific case will be based upon the severity of the misconduct. Such discipline will result in up to and including termination or forfeiture of office.
Procurement Procedures
Regulation 5520 incorporates Regulation 3165 Procurement Standards – Federal Contracts and related policies. The District will adhere to these standards in procurement of goods in the District’s Food Service Program.
